Navy JAG, Public Defender, Private Defense Attorney
Chris La Tronica began his career as an attorney with the U.S. Navy. His first duty station took him overseas where he worked as both a prosecutor and defense attorney. Having exposure to both sides of the criminal justice system is invaluable. Many defense attorney's are limited to guessing how the government thinks about a case. Chris began his career as a prosecutor. This takes the guess work out of the equation.
After 5 years with the Navy, Chris entered private practice in New Haven, CT with Pattis & Smith, LLC, a law firm known for taking on the most difficult cases. There, he learned how a case evolves when the government knows it is up against an attorney that is ready for trial.
Next, Chris transitioned to Brooklyn, NY, working as a public defender for a year before starting his own practice. Chris brings his experience from these distinct background areas to each and every case he defends.
